A Jacquard is a kind of fabric made on autolooms or power looms also known as Jacquard looms. The pattern or design is not printed but weaved into the fabric. It comes in a variety of designs such as floral, geometrical, chevron, stripes, etc. Jacquards are made of various compositions such as cotton, polyester, acrylic, viscose, etc and blends of these as well. It also comes in an array of thread counts which makes some jacquards lightweight while others heavyweight which is the reason why they can be used for many purposes from dress materials to home décor.
